The north face treatment might turn out well and hopefully the silver coloured grid will be maintained. At this point, my enthusiasm has been dampened. Who knows, it may go through a further revision that turns out better than both versions. Wishful thinking perhaps.

Alternating balconies tend to look cheap and try-hard. I detest them just as much as staggered columns.

I agree that inset balconies should be less noticable though.

This looks great, but the inset balconies as others have mentioned, don't fit in well.

The developer withdrew the application for this project. It's dead... for now.

This one is toast, as it will be taking up space in what will become the new connector for the two parts of the new and improved Eaton Centre, which I believe should become the second biggest in Canada after it is complete.

What a disappointment. However the "new and improved" Eaton Centre sounds interesting. Any details on that development?

These two buildings will be connected by a massive new walkway where this tower was supposed to go

It will all be one mall, Toronto Eaton Centre.
