ST. LOUIS: Gateway South-$1.2 billion riverfont redevelopment

Considering the size of the project, I believe it deserves its own thread. This project will cost $1.2 billion and redevelop, 80 plus acres of prime riverfront property south of Downtown St. Louis.
Developer eyes $1.2 billion redevelopment on St. Louis riverfront

Quote:
Most of the site would be dedicated to the industrial portion of the project between Chouteau Avenue and Cedar Street, east of First Street. Dennis Lower, who previously ran the Cortex tech district and is now consulting on the development, told city officials the developer is planning on two major tenants coming in from the coasts to set up manufacturing operations.

Two high-rise residential towers would be built south of Interstate 64 north of Cedar Street, and additional living units would be built on the top floors of a building in the old Crunden Martin Manufacturing complex, Lower said.

The entertainment and recreation portion of the project would go southwest of there, and bring in attractions from a handful of national names. Lower said at least one part would be a world-class skate park.

Wow...very nice...

So good to see the old Crunden-Martin warehouses getting preserved, especially after that fire. Love it
