Rotterdam Amazing Skyline

Rotterdam - The Netherlands(Holland)

population 600.000

Metropolitan Area 1,2 million

Much panorama's so scroll from the left to the right!!

Under Construction

Some historical pics.
Rotterdam Before the Bomb in 1940

and After the city(cleaned up) was totally bombed and mostly burned down.

Thats why the city is totally new and modern.
Some old buildings where not destroyed like the Cityhall, White House(high white officebuilding on photo) and Office and some other streets.

Wow, Rotterdam kicks ass! That skyline looks pretty damn impressive for a metro of 1.2 million.

Wow is right... that is one extremely fascinating set of photos and information(in the last three). Very beautiful looking skyline, that's for sure. I would love to learn more about this city especially not having heard much about it before.

Rotterdam is the 2nd city(after Amsterdam) from The Netherlands.
It was the biggest harborcity of the world, now its Shanghai.
On wikipedia you can find more information about this city.

What a horrible shame- Rotterdam was so heavily targeted...didn't really look like a "defended fortress" did it...

The waterfront is great though, looks pretty exciting. I love how they light up the bridges!

Nice pics, but I've seen them before.

If you didn't take the pics yourself, a thread goes into the Found Photos forum not in this one which is dedicated to pics taken by the thread starters themselbes.
