Shouldn't this be changed to "Approved" now, as they have begun excavation of the site?

I'm not sure the building design is 100% finalized.

Excited to see this go up. Love New west, it has a true urban vibe / feel downtown, and all these new developments will only continue its progress.

New West is very under represented / discussed in the Canada portion of this forum.

So true... a colleague and I were just discussing this just yesterday. New West seems to be doing so much right, yet you don't hear much about it.

One thing it has in spades that no other area municipality (save Vancouver) has is a pedestrian-scale street grid covering almost the entire city.

Love it! New West again comes out with a great project, and furthering it lead as the most urban suburb I know of in our area.

Yeah, reminds me of something you'd see in Seattle - but with a shorter tower.

I like everything about this project except the the back wall. I hope another building can be built under the guideway, right up against this one, and it won't be the dead empty lot it looks like in the picture forever.

Wow I'm really impressed by this! I'm really happy they didn't go with some quasi historical facade like the Interurban. It's too bad they could'nt have incorporated that adjacent parking lot into this development.

Looks fantastic! This will arguably have a larger impact on downtown NewWest than the Plaza 88 mall as it should dramatically increase pedestrian volume along Columbia.

Very nice.

New West keeps getting better and better. I'm seriously thinking of buying a place there when I return to Canada permanently.

Looks great. It's been a couple years since I've visited New West. Considering I live across the street from an Expo Line station I should really hop on a SkyTrain and check it out one of these upcoming weekends.

Perhaps after such a great meet and tour downtown, the next meet should tour Burnaby and New West by Skytrain? Lots of activity out that way to see.
