Hyatt Hotel planned at Olive/Eighth project
Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle) - 2:01 PM PDT Friday
A 350-room Hyatt Hotel is planned for the Olive 8 condominium project now under construction at Eighth Avenue and Olive Way in downtown Seattle.
The hotel will be located on the first 17 floors of the $175 million, 36-story building. There will be 198 condominiums above the hotel.
The project is expected to be completed in August 2008, according to developers R.C. Hedreen Co. and hotel company Global Hyatt Corp. The two companies also jointly own the Grand Hyatt at 721 Pine St. in Seattle.
"The addition of a first-class hotel operator at Olive 8 adds to the investment appeal for our condominium buyers. We're right on schedule and look forward to bringing this project to market soon." said Richard Hedreen, chairman of R.C. Hedreen Co., in a statement.
