That's a great-looking tower! I hope it's as light as depicted. I don't care too much for 2nd & Pine.

Come to think of it, in that rendering it sort of resembles a smaller WAMU Center.

I changed WaMu to complete as the exterior basically is, and that's what we look at here at SSP.

FINALLY! A new rendering of the Four Seasons, courtesy of CityView Jim on SSC.

I also edited Jiminy's post on the first page again to add this rendering.

That could be a really quick tower to go up due to the fact that they didn't have to build a foundation!

Sure they did. They spent probably two months strenthening the existing foundation.

A bit of small news . . .

Hyatt Hotel planned at Olive/Eighth project
Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle) - 2:01 PM PDT Friday

A 350-room Hyatt Hotel is planned for the Olive 8 condominium project now under construction at Eighth Avenue and Olive Way in downtown Seattle.

The hotel will be located on the first 17 floors of the $175 million, 36-story building. There will be 198 condominiums above the hotel.

The project is expected to be completed in August 2008, according to developers R.C. Hedreen Co. and hotel company Global Hyatt Corp. The two companies also jointly own the Grand Hyatt at 721 Pine St. in Seattle.

"The addition of a first-class hotel operator at Olive 8 adds to the investment appeal for our condominium buyers. We're right on schedule and look forward to bringing this project to market soon." said Richard Hedreen, chairman of R.C. Hedreen Co., in a statement.

Any recent news on West 8th? I always liked the look of it in the one rendering we have of it.

Yeah, it not only looks taller, but more like a building--as opposed to the evil decepticon looking thing in the earlier rendering, ready to transform into a robot and destroy the city at any moment.
