i love chinatowns, there soo cool
makes me wonder...
why cant baltimore or dc have a chinatown like that,
dc's isnt very authentic, baltimore doesnt have one
^^Not a lot of cities can manage a Chinatown like this, there are several hundred thousand Chinese people in Toronto, and several other Chinatowns. This is the main "old" Chinatown.

Actually the pics are of the newer Chinatown. Old Chinatown (also known as East Chinatown) is by Gerrard and Broadview and it is smaller than the new Chinatown

East Chinatown came along much later. It began around the late 70s and achieved a critical mass by the early 80s. The oldest Chinatown was on Dundas between Bay & University but it migrated westward to its' current location

The original Chinatown actually was Elizabeth St., and got "relocated" b/c of the new city hall.
