Seems like I read that the top would use some of the colors used on mosaic that is on the Convention Center. So that would mean it would be multi-colored.

No, the mosaic colors the article was talking about will be between the windows on the north and south faces of the building. They are visible in this picture.

From what the sales office told me, the lantern would be lit up with regular old white light. BTW those mosaic colors look very similar to the burnt orange of UT and the Maroon of A&M haha.

Everything is all shady. There is nothing official for another highrise hotel on the way. So until then im not going to believe anything on here that someone might post up thats "unofficial"

I don't think san antonio needs another 30/40/50 floor hotel at the current time..but just cause it doesn't NEED one doesn't mean one shouldn't get built..and can't be profitable.

Drove right by there last week. The hotel's huge, both in height and width.

Well, it seems that about every 20 years the city has a hotel highrise boom. '68, '88, and '08.

True that. All it would take is someone....Cough...AT&T...Cough.....to get the ball rolling on a new business tower. Although it's a pipe-dream at this point, being optomistic sure feels good.

I would probably crap a brick if one day I walked in here and saw "'832 ft. official - AT&T tower - SA"

even if it were 500 ft. and had a really nice design

but someone should get the ball rolling because there's still potential for a really nice downtown and Austin's is going through some big things as it is
