I was actually aware of that. But, it still slow progress. I was in Brooklyn on vacation in July. The site updates still look the same.

Why are they going so slow?

^ Excavation and foundation are usually the most time consuming (i.e. slowest) part of construction.

Here are a few I took today 11/9 by slipping my cell phone through the cracks

Doesn’t seem like anything so substantial but still it was overdue for an update

This has to be by far the slowest construction of all the super-talls in the city.

If you'd told me a scant few years ago that Junior's was going to be supertall adjacent, I'd probably still be laughing! Nothing short of amazing what's happened in DT Brooklyn.

This construction site is as dead as a grave yard. Nothing has visibly changed in the last 6 months. They haven't even started digging a hole. Does anyone know if this is still going to happen?

There's a guy, there's a guy!!

Man, that would be a shame is this project didn't go forward. Another great addition for NYC.

It's either one of two things. A - they've decided to move forward with a Walmart on site after all. Or B - that's just more useless speculation I've pulled out of my a$$.

I'll let you all decide.

In the meantime, marketing is underway for the retail space...

I thought Wal-Marts were banned in New York City.

He was being sarcastic. They aren't going to build a wal-mart here. That would be a crime against humanity. The UN would have to be involved if that happened.

It's 10 pm, do you know where your children are? This man sure does. I wouldn't want this man roaming the streets of Flatbush.

I kind of thought as much. I don't live in New York, so I don't know what policies change from day to day.
