Awesome pics, I love zooming over Stockholm in Google Earth.

I've never been, but I've heard Stockholm has some of the best metro stations in the world.

Did Stockholm go through a period where they just razed tons of beautiful historical areas for the concrete slabs of the 50s-70s? It looks like it has a lot of that compared to some of the other Nordic cities.

It has, but it still has managed to retain most of its historic buildings and that is why it is still considered to be the prettiest of the nordic capitals. Oslo and Helsinki on the other hand are not very pretty overall.

We all more or less look Italian, because that's where the motherfucking church is.
Sometimes, even oftentimes, it makes me sadly think of the so-called 'Pharisees' that tortured our Lord to death in the Gospel...
You don't know how deeply sad that feels.

I've never been, but to me, Stockholm looks like the nicest Nordic city. More historic and more local character than the other major Nordic cities, at least in the city center.

Yes, the warm colors of the buildings make it look somewhat like Rome or Florence. I like the contrast it has with the black roofs, looks very clean and striking. It also makes the city look brighter in the gloomy winter months.

Great shots Pallo. I noticed in many, the streets seem strangely devoid of people, was that because of the time of day?

No, It was because I was there from 30 Dec to 2 Jan so I guess not many people around no matter which city you are in during those holidays...
