Thats good news, so any changes or just proceeding as initially planned?

Certainly lots of activity on site for what looks like the Ikea and the Costco of course.

This store is officially dead now as IKEA announces plans to build store are dead. The retail sector has changed for good and will not ever look the same as it was in the past.

Interesting to see what happens with the rest of the development there.

Agreed.

I still expect a new Costco as current one is too small and is missing the gas bar. Not sure the Sail store was ever going to happen. The movie theatre is unlikely given the current trends.

I would not be shocked if Walmart jumps in and builds a Supercentre store and moves out of WhiteOaks mall.

Brick and Mortar retail is going thru a major shakeup.

I think Walmart has re-committed to White Oaks with their recent renovation. Although with it being the same landlord, they might work something out if they want to go.

Just read that Sail has filed for bankruptcy protection as well. Not shaping up good for that development at all.

That's to bad about Sail I was looking forward to having one in London. I think a Bass Pro would do well in that location as well.

They have done a ton of earthwork out there but I don't know that they have done much else. I can see the whole development getting shelved for quite a while.

I think the Costco will go ahead. It's location won't be dependant on the rest of the property being developed, and they desperately want out of that old store. Plus to get the gas bar going as well.
