Local Food Joints in the Atlanta Metro.

I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread like this...forgive me I'm new to this site (I use to post on another site but that's gone downhill).

Anyway, this thread's about local metro Atlanta food spots. I'm in Forest Park right now (no, I've never been a victim of a crime ) and here are a couple of places I like in this part of town:

Taquería La Oaxaqueña
link

Pigg City BBQ (Memphis style)
link

Best Country Donuts (very good donuts and apple fritter, KK can't compete)
link

I'm not sure if my links are working properly but I also like that restaurant at the ATL State Farmers Market (in Forest Park) because everything's fresh.

I haven't been to these places yet but I've heard that they're serious:

Mr. Everything Cafe (I've heard that the subs are good)
link
Wienerz (A butcher/sandwich shop)
link
Antico Pizza-Pizza Tradizionale di Napoli (said to be ATL's best pizza place)
link

^^^Thanks, I have to check out American Deli out sometime. Any good seafood spots here in metro ATL? Anymore good BBQ areas?

I'll hit up those spots that I haven't been to yet and let you guys know how the food is.

[Off topic: Is it always this quiet around here?]

Try BBQ Kitchen in East Point for some down-home cooking.

I checked out the reviews online and they have nothing but good to say for BBQ Kitchen...that's good enough for me. Appreciate it.

Okay, I love my seafood. There is some seafood place in Forest Park that's okay but their stuff is frozen (I like fresh food more). I'll check it out sometime, thanks.

A good burger joint's always good. Man, Bocado looks like my type of place, I'll most definitely be checking that place out. Appreciate it folks.

Best burger by far IMO is Grindhouse in the Sweet Auburn Market. The food, location, and people that work there are all excellent and unique.

Also at the sweet auburn curb market is a wonderful Italian place, called Ciao bocca. They have the best pannini I have ever had. By the way the market is atlanta's oldest indoor farmer's market, with a dozen or so resturaunts. The architecture is industrial/art deco from the 20s...check it out!

The best ribs I've had in Atlanta is Fat Matt's. They usually have live music as well, it's a cool little spot.

The OK Cafe is also a good place to get some country food. The take out buffet is what I like the best.
