Park Vinings will instead be a 33 story retirement community

A re-zoning request was recently approved in Cobb County to make what would have previously been a 32-story Park Vinings luxury condo highrise into a 33-story retirement community with an increase from 150 to 254 units. Glad it's finally going to be built, though it's disappointing that they are diminishing it by making the units smaller. It also won't help enliven that part of Cumberland. Thoughts?

Oh hell yea! Before we all thought "million dollar condos up HERE, NOW? Snowballs chance in hell for a year" --- but now i'm really happy to hear this. At least it's gonna help the LOOK of the area, which is just phenominal. I went there yesterday & have forgotten how BEAUTIFUL Vinings has become & is still becoming. The Aberdeen is even being built and i had no idea of that. Plus the big spot of land there will be filled in.

Do we know if it's gonna be the same design?

Pretty much the same design. 1 extra floor, and increased density (smaller units). Amenities will be more senior-friendly.

Same developer, though I believe what is being put up at Phipps isn't a retirement community.

Jocelyn: That borders on spam, please don't do that again. This isn't even the right forum for Miami.
