Honestly I have not been do Dallas since I was about 8 or 9 years old so I really don't have any opinion of that area. I think I will probably go up there sometime soon to check it out.

Houston- Because I know it the best and have come to appreciate it.

Austin- Despite the trendiness, there's a lot to like as long as you stick to Central Austin.

Galveston- It's like a small New Orleans with an ugly but useful beach.

San Antonio- It's like a whole other country.

Dallas- Lots of pretty skyscrapers to look at. It would rank higher if it hadn't lost so much to its burbs.

Fort Worth- It's too sleepy for me.

El Paso- Too brown. It's cool to look at for a long weekend but I'd be miserable long term.

Corpus- I love the Bay and it gave us Whataburger but there's no there there.

I can't choose between Austin and San Antonio, but since I live in SA, I chose it. I love them both. The rest can follow.
