What is the significance of the phrase "High Risk Tower"? Do they always title their programs in this manner?

my big question is: they've left those open spaces right where the ramp connects to the actual building--are those going to be left open or have they just not put the panels up? it looks fantastic but those open spaces smack of unfinished business...

yeah those will be put in. Its still just a little unfinished. I dont know this for sure, but its just an odd shape, I'm sure they had to order those.

Yea I wondered the same thing. Titles of other episodes of the program seem more general. Some include:

World's Tallest Tower (Shanghai Tower)
Space Tower (Spain)
Super Stadium (Arizona Cardinals Stadium)

I guess they call it 'high risk'' because its such a tall formwork structure. Of course you know they have to add extra tension to make for a good show.

You know, "The Parking Ramp District." Very trendy. Seriously though, it does create a kind of atmosphere.
I wonder if it will light up using different colors on special occasions like the spires on some of Chicago's other buildings. I bet this is planned only for TTC's Spire. Anyway, changing colors like the Pritzker Pavilion would probably make it lose the "elegance factor" and make it look too over the top.

Well, after the rest of the floors in this section there is one more tranfer floor (another 60 days?...probably a few less because its smaller?) then the rest of the building. If I recall there wa one more time consuming floor near the roof. Considering it just a little over halfway done...early next year is probably way too soon.

Are you saying that it'll be 60 days before they hit the next setback? I calculated mid September.

I believe that he's talking about the timetable for the construction of the next transfer floors itself. I've heard that it will take 4-6 weeks to build.

I think they are at the 40th floor and the next transfer floors are 50 and 51. They are on a 4 day pour schedule so probably more like late September actually.
