Portland, Oregon

A few weeks ago I went to the Oregon Brewers Festival. I brought my camera with me to capture Portland through my eyes. Enjoy!

portland is nice bit of urbanity. ive been here on and off for nearly 17 years, yet year after year it never ceases to amaze me. its nearly 2.5 million people yet nowhere does the built environment so overtake you that you feel tiny and overwhelmed. actually, the trees will do that in some parts of nw pdx, but for the most part, portland citylife is more like a comfy sweater and less like a starchy suit or confining dress. but yes, over the years its definitely become more urbane and as some forumer put it, for a city this small, its doesn't deserve to have such high quality density! i think he was jealous. nice pics.

Amazing photography. I really enjoy your shots.

I never been to Portland, but I always tell my wife if I wasn't such a homebody I would move out to Portland tomorrow. A progressive town about Bikes and outdoors.

Great thread, yorktonite!

I love pdxtex's "comfy sweater" analogy - seems to sum things up perfectly.
