Not really anything new, just a couple of crane views from Town Lake Park.

Photos from 10/19.

Great. I'm glad you got some pics of it. I ran out of battery power the last time I was downtown. This thing should start to rise in no time. Tiny footprint, and that looks to be about as deep as they'll dig since they already have columns up. The tower itself will be in the upper left corner of the site, next to the crane.

Any updates on this project? It should be out of the ground by now, I would think?

Only the first level I think is above ground now. This building should start to rise fairly fast I would think.

Photos from 2/9/2008. After taking what seemed like a very long time, the building is finally now above ground and rising. Working on the 2nd floor currently.

The following is a quote from Spring's Project Manager Kirby Kuntz in the January edition of the Spring Newsletter which can be found at: http://www.springaustin.com/info/ind...etters&order=0

What can we expect during the next few months for Spring? During 2008? Over the next few months the project will undergo a remarkable transformation. We are now "out of the ground" for the tower portion of the project. We have hauled 43,000 CY or 3,600 dump truck loads of rock and soil off site. The foundations and basement retaining walls are complete. We are now working on above grade structure. We plan to place the Level 6 (L6) slab, which is 34" thick, by late March / early April. Once this is complete, we will add one floor per week to the structure. You will also see the parking garage nearing completion to support a late August / Early September 2008 opening of limited portions of the garage.

A few new pics of the Spring. Starting on the 4th floor on the NE section. 5th floor will be the last parking level. The big western parking section is just now up to ground level.

Photo from 2/24.

It's amazing how fast this building is going up. I took this shot last Sunday and it's already up another floor since then.

Great updates guys. I love seeing all the construction in Austin, it's completely changing the face of the city from afar.

I'm happy for Austin. In ten years it went from barely having any skyline towards an impressive and iconic assemblage of highrises in as well as outside th downtown core.
