The weather so far this summer has been nothing short of gorgeous, with a little break last week of some rain. But Vancouver has been close to record levels of sunshine and rainfall levels way below average. Perfect for picture taking! The first clump of pics is from Sunday night down by the water and from the Burrard Bridge, followed by some randoms.
Looking out to English Bay. This photo actually makes it look a little darker than it was at the time:
That's the Art Deco Burrard Bridge back there. It's going to be restored in the near future:
Some public art along the beach:
All the chairs had inscriptions on them:
Floating Esso station for boats:
Nissan Pao parked in the West End, which borders English Bay:
A mix of housing styles in the West End:
From the Burrard Bridge. Those condos sure have a nice view!
The Burrard Bridge looking South:
Some closeups of the bridge:
Banners along the bridge:
Looking down Pacific Street from the bridge:
English Bay and the West End:
Looking East towards Mount Pleasant:
West End:
Looking at the mostly low-rise density of Mount Pleasant and Fairview Slopes:
That's the almost completed Shangri-la on the left:
Closer look:
Almost the same shot as a few previous, just a bit darker:
A few random high rises:
The sun sets on English Bay on a perfect summer's day:
The next few are from last weekend as well:
Taken from the patio where I had brunch on Sunday:
