Two items:

1) It seems the damaged balcony has been repaired? Unless I'm blind and completely missing the damaged one, I don't see it anymore.

2) Saw some workers on the first floor commercial space cutting drywall and pulled some of the paper off the windows for light. Looked inside but I'm not really sure they're working on fitting out the commercial unit. Only 3 of them, and a few pieces of drywall. Hard to see though without looking straight in and looking like a weirdo.

I'm sure that the railings came from China and were custom made and it may take awhile to get them.

It has been replaced. It's been that way for a while.
As far back as May 5th I have a drone shot with it replaced.

The window wall and railings were made by Toro in Vaughan.

Thought I'd share this here, Samir Market opening at Marquee. Also, take a look at how they handle raw meat at their Burlington store. Not using a refrigerated truck, and just piling raw meat on the floor of the truck and parking lot. Lovely.

Well at least there's something going into that commercial space. I saw recently across the street in the old federal building there's a physiotherapy place, so maybe things will finally start filling up.

To be fair, whatever plaza that is may not have had loading docks for its retail units. Same goes for condo developments with ground-floor retail here.

But still. Those do not seem like proper food-safety practices!

It does have a loading dock. Seems to me like they're just ignoring CFIA standards.

Read that article today. Looks like a nice store and well intentioned owner. Great uplifting story.

Seems pretty wholesome. All in all, its always good to see a new grocery store downtown.

Definitely.

I think that given all the development and the increase in population density, we will see more retail to follow. Food will be a big one, but other types as well.
