looks like your run of the mill toronto apartment on top with businesses on the bottom - I'd say it's meh - it def. could be a lot worse but also could be a lot better and more innovative.

^ Unlikely to win any award but it's still pretty good news for the Beasley neighbourhood in terms of increased density, and soon the Cannon/Wellington area will have more customers to support local businesses.

No masterpiece here but if there is, somewhere, an award for precast mid-rise architecture, then this one might rate!

to its credit, if you had shown me that pic and told me to guess where it was from I would have said toronto.. so it has that going for it I guess.. you don't see many like that in hamilton, but you do see a lot in toronto..

I really wish it had a penthouse level with a bit of a setback to reduce the abruptness of the top of the building. But overall it's a fine development, it's not meant to be beautiful, just to add to the stock of modest/affordable apartments which the city sorely needs.

Agreed. Even a floor or two stepped back would have been nice. But you're absolutely right, it's not meant to be a looker. It kind of blends in, but in an interesting way.

Anyone know about the amount of units here that have been rented out yet/ are still available? Seems to me based on what I see going past it that given how long this building's been complete, its having a real hard time getting tenants at the current rental price.
