SAN FRANCISCO | Oyster Point Business Park

hey everyone:

wondering if anyone has any info on the new proposed Oyster Point Business Park in San Fran by Shorenstein. I've found some things online and some really great looking images, but am curious about development and timelines. any thoughts?

not really SF

Oyster Point is in South San Francisco, not San Francisco, so this post belongs better in this thread for the rest of the Bay Area

Oyster Point already has a bunch of office-park-type development, and I think just recently got a new ferry terminal. they need to link the area better to the Caltrain station which is, by most accounts, one of the worst on the whole line

Man, that whole South San Francisco area has huge potential to be a Tysons Corner-esque TOD if only it had better linkage for pedestrians across the 101. A circulator bus would be perfect.

^CalTrain runs a bunch of those around other stations on the Peninsula. Perhaps there's enough critical mass of jobs building up at Oyster Point to encourage one there as well.

and, they're on it. the 'Resources' tab has some useful info.

this wouldn't directly involve Oyster Point, but the idea of a shuttle circulator for the area is a good one, and the station area plans include a substantial shuttle drop-off/loading area.

putting 101 between the tracks and downtown really effed things up there, and this is maybe as good as you can do at this point, at least relinking the two sides with a pedestrian underpass below both the tracks and the freeway, as ardecila suggested
