It's going to be more than one shade of glass so it's kind of a pointless thing to debate about right now lol

The glass in that shot is directly over the load bearing wall and it isn't that visible - at least from that angle and light. Hope this holds for the rest.

^ Great angle, Harry! Love that jumbled mess of tower cranes.

Very clever usage of the panorama HomrQT

Shots from there always remind me how awesome of a site that NBC parking lot has the potential to be turned into

Crossed the Michigan Ave bridge about 5:15 this morning. Sun aching to rise. That wee smidgen of glass ... amazing in the twilight.

A decent sized building there would have some killer views for sure.

Wow, thank you, Le Baron. That second to last shot really demonstrates this boom's impending impact!

On an off topic note, do they ever plan on covering the tracks over in Grant Park?

It is nearly impossible to get an appreciation of "scale" by looking at the pictures posted of a park surrounded by tall and supertall buildings. Grant Park is fairly huge! To give you a better appreciation of scale, in the pictures posted, any humans in that picture appear to be the size of an ant - if you can see them at all. When experiencing Grant Park, you hardly realize there are tracks that run through that section of the park. At least that has been my experience.

Now the streets that occasionally dissect the park you notice a little more. However, closing/planting over those streets should be a relative quick fix versus covering the tracks.

.
