Thanks for the photos, Austruction! Welcome to the forum, by the way.

I kinda like the dark glass. I don't think it would work well everywhere, but it's nice to have something different. As many others have stated, I do wish this could have been a tower downtown instead of one laying on its side... Either way, it's coming along.

Still not as nice as the Cali oracle buildings

It was fun to get out of the house for a little bit, thanks for requesting photos Drummer. Hope the old oaks survive all the contruction. A few that were relocated further west on lakeshore didn't survive the re-transplant about 2 years ago.

I love the black glass. Oracle's HQ campus has got to be one of the best corporate HQs that aren't located in a Downtown.

I've always thought the skyline view from Riverside was the best.

Great pics. The two main buildings are interesting. Too bad the garage is so plain.

Yup, I love it! I work in the area and get to see it daily. It is better than the view from MoPac, in my opinion.

The apartment's are trashy, but the view from Solaris and Mountain Ranch Apartments are awesome.

Great to see the aerial view, thanks for that! Does anyone know of the master plan of that area - or at least how the streets will be laid out there? I'm curious about what the immediate surroundings of the campus will or could become.

Some helpful resources:

East Riverside Corridor Master Plan executive summary:

https://www.austintexas.gov/sites/de...mm_handout.pdf

The regulating plan:

ftp://ftp.ci.austin.tx.us/npzd/Austi...an_adopted.pdf

A useful summary by Big Red Dog:

https://bigreddog.com/east-riverside-corridor-district/

The district will probably emerge with some height as the area matures and we start seeing limited supply of developable parcels. The current height limits without density bonuses ranges from 35 to 60 feet (see figure 1-7 in the regulating plan), but with density bonuses ranges from 65 to 160 (see figure 1-8). Although that isn't West Campus level height, that is significant for an area outside of downtown. Once the area begins to fill out with standard VMU style developments, we'll begin seeing applications for the density bonuses as well as the occasional upzoning for even more height.

Looks like the exterior is close to finishing on both buildings.

Oracle Corp. appears to planning for expansion of its Southeast Austin campus even before the $300 million-plus development is completed.

Public records show that Oracle America Inc. purchased around six acres at 2225 Elmont Drive, directly south of its 560,000-square-foot campus now under construction. The six-acre plot of land was purchased from an entity formed by Cypress Real Estate Advisors.
