Holy man, the LA skyline is changed already! A brand new DTLA is born.

Are those houses on hills cheap? It is possible to buy a house on some hill with US$200,000 or less? Housing in U.S. is cheap, report says some one can buy a house with only a few dollars, is it true in LA area?

^^^ Let's say you're going to need 5x as much to get a decent view. LA and Coastal California in general is expensive by US standards.

And this is a great thread. Hopefully I have the chance to visit LA sometime next year.

The cheapest home might be $1.3 million. Generally you're looking at $3-5 million, some in the $10-15-20-30 million range.

I would probably live in LA if it wasn't so expensive. Beautiful place! Thanks for the photos.

Nice pictures! I recognize quite a few places, after being there last week!

Where was that first picture taken? It looks like it's from the west or southwest.

Where is the skyline picture with the bicyclists from? That's definitely from the north.

Maybe a few million in those hills if you're lucky. You're probably not going to find a modest house in a good neighborhood in Los Angeles for under 500K.

Great photos, pwrite1!

Thanks. The first pic was taken at Kenneth Hahn Park just off LaCienega. It is from the southwest.
