I know it's fictional, but that tower with the green spire on the left looks a lot like the rendering of Angels Knoll.

Love, love the Circa Tower as I'm a true sucker for curved glass towers, and if only the Metropolis Towers had a curve or 2 to them, as well as the others. When Wynn put up his curved glass towers in Las Vegas they were criticized as outdated, too Houston-like. Sheesh! Do curved glass towers ever get out-dated?

I'm so glad L.A. didn't take the route of Houston and level all their old buildings as there's still some some astounding older buildings to rehab.

Any future plans to tunnel over part of that freeway that runs through DTLA?

Looking forward to my Fall trip there after the heat dies down!

Duuude and I thought I was the only true sucker for curved glass towers! Lol I was so jealous when Frisco built the Infinity Towers and Jardin (now Circa) were canceled. Been a long time lurker since 2007 (at 13 years old lmao) and been tracking Jardin/Circa as well as other projects (LA Live and Fig Central, now Oceanwide Plaza).

Yeah, this looks really good and is a nice change from the dozens of boxes that make up the skyline.

I agree.

Even so those towers have a completely different look.. depending on what site of the towers you see (front is curved, backside is boxy).

PS:

It was so convenient to travel between the Wilshire Grand Center and South Park via Expo Line.
There is an Expo Line Pico Station right next to the Circa Towers and one more stop and you are in Downtown right next to the Wilshire Grand.

That's a way faster than taking the future streetcar (which of course would connect even more parts of Downtown).
The whole South Park area next to the Convention Center felt pretty clean and safe. There are some nice bars in walking distance.

The walk between circa and wilshire Grand isn't even that far lol the walk is actualy quite pleasant. Whenever I visit I always walk from the wilshire Grand to LA live. Stop by figat7th on the way to do a little shopping.

Yes - it's quite quick. I walked from Spire 73 (the new bar atop the Wilshire Grand) to LA Live yesterday in under 10 minutes.

Seems like Broadway is going to be the most concentrated place in the country of flagship athletic footwear stores... Guess that will be part of its Niche.

It was 1.1 miles (Convention Center to Wilshire Grand) via Google Maps and a couple of traffic lights, Maps showed 23 minutes for a walk, but I thought that was pretty long for a 1.1 mile route. (the two Expo Line stops are less than a mile away from each other)

Still it's good to have options.. especially on a hot summer day and all dressed up.
If I learned one thing in America, it's that you never walk more than 0.3 miles (unless required by the law).

With a Vans flagship, and a Jordans flagship opening up on Broadway it'll literally be the hotspot for shoes.

Here's an update

I kinda love how the two phases of Metropolis have different coloring. It makes them look like two separate complexes in many ways. Breaks up the look.
Great pictures Mojeda...Was just down there on Friday. The area was lousy with tourists...which thrilled me to no end.
