Hi all.
Hey Sky - when are you going to Dubai ?
The reason I ask is I wanna go with you !! Maybe I could stowaway in your luggage... Hell, I'll offer to sweep the Burj's floors just to get close to the thing. OK just to get closup shots.
Hey - for some reason I can't see the 4 shots from Joen - on either forum - could you repost them ? I don't have a problem seeing all the pics normally - so Thanks bud.

Here are some going prices on BD photos:

$50 for this one:

and $100 for this one:

http://www.shutterpoint.com/Photos-S...rfl=&order=rel

I'd pay maybe $10 for the top one, but that's about it. If it was in focus, maybe a wee bit more.

You gave it to us as a freebie.....your so generous!

My offer of generosity for the week is to transfer the whole forum to my superserver by the weekend!

Then we should have the search menu back for good!

Happy days and faster uploads.......at last!

Thanks for the heads up and great news! I wonder how many on ssp will see this post/news they've been waiting for

That's about the most generocity and dedication I have seen here. Many of us offer to send money through paypal or something, but not such an offer/support like this I can recall.

Search willl be good, but what about the gallery? The gallery and diagrams are what makes this site different from the rest, so maybe this upgrade will give Dylan the freedom to upgrade these areas as well for more good times.

After all, that why we spend time on a skyscraper site and time is worth $$ these days. Thanks again bud!

I will take better night pics of the Burj Dubai, i promise.
I wouldn`t even pay one $ for the pics. Some u/c pics from IMRE are even better.

^^ Agreed. Even I with my NON-DSLR camera can take such pictures, or maybe better.

^ That's because the phrase you quoted is not above the pic you posted.

The challenge is out there then. If you guys can say it, then prove it. Talk is cheap over here and night shots are hard to come by without them being grainy and/or out of focus. Much less the angle, perspective, and other objects in the shot. Hang out there a couple hours to get a moon shot at this height, looking towards the city, make it minimum 2206x3310 @ 1.5MB and I'll throw in a dancing banana at the end of my praise. The second shot I agree with. Any tourist can get that one.

Tom, your promisses are like the last couple posts you made here...baseless and uninformed. I thought you knew more about the tower cladding by now or you just wanted to fight with the "up-in-the-air" Sky T. Your not that good at trolling, so you might as well just go back to lurking

The end of the world is nigh.

seen on a religious rant and rave site.....(in relation to BD)

"Before I wrap up, let me remind you of Prophet Muhammad’s warning regarding tall Buildings. Prophet Muhammad (sal) said one of the signs of the day of judgement is competition to build tall buildings. This doesn't mean it's not good to build tall buildings and there are occasions when we need high rise buildings like in congested areas. But it's very sad to see our Muslims wasting money to build tall and extravagant buildings for competition purposes. Muslims are playing with billions when millions of Muslims starve. Allah almighty has warned us we will be held accountable for every cent that passed through our hands in this life. What will Muslims fate be on the day of judgement?"

Never expected Doka to update so early. After their last update, I wasn't expecting them to update again for another 4 to 5 months. What a pleasant surprise. Hope they stay on track. Looks like, from a quick count, that they are maybe just a few days old. Hard to tell since the core was stuck in neutral for a couple weeks. Thanks Fury... and Doka

Wow, that last shot is something else. What is that in the upper left hand corner of your pic going to be? Looks like a very big mall.

I have a big print on the desktop of the BD area....on that print it's huge and has a 10 story wavy top on one part of it.
