Best way to capture my sketch drawing before uploading?

I'm thinking about doing some pencil sketching. I was wondering if anyone tell me a way to capture the best quality of my drawing before I upload it. Any suggestions?

which method:

1. scan the drawing
or
2. two shed light on the drawing and then take a photo of it

Oh I think scanning by far because then you can get the BEST detailes and then you can edit it on photoshop,on your scanner editor or on a different photo editing software.

Okay, I will try scanning then but will have to take it to kinkos next door since I no longer have one. It's been at least 14 years since I've done a pencil sketch of anything. I'm very confident it will come back to me though. Thanks for the tip. Now I just need to think about what I am going to draw.
