Those are some nice pictures...I have lots of new pictures of Tesoro and the Broadway...I will post tonight.

I have noticed there are a lot of empty lots downtown and along broadway.....lets hope we get more hotels and condos built downtown and up broadway.

You know I really like how this building looks...

And also the Tesoro...also the Broadway looks cool from the front it has a curved design...

I will take a picture of it...later this week.

They also started constuction of the two hotels on Sonterra and 281 in the SO (StoneOak). The construction is mostly ground prep so far. Does anybody know how many stories these hotels are going to be?

Agreed. It's a very nice design.

Does anyone know what retail is going in the first floor besides the bank?

Vistana is awesome-- classic.

Tesoro building? Not so much. Should be downtown, not in the boonies.

I'm loving the Vistana. I'm glad to hear the developer is member here, though I'm a month late, welcome!

I agree with Alexjon, it's just too far out and that makes me upset, lol.

Broadway on the other hand is a great inner project. I wish Austin could get something like it. I would almost say I like the design of Broadway more than any of the other San Antonio projects so far. Maybe a tie with Grand Hyatt.

Yeah the Broadway is pretty tight. I like how the front curves...but the problem with it is that this building will almost be hidden when driving up 281...but you will be able to see it off IH35 going north just before and after BAMC. The Tesoro is awesome with all its glass. There is hardly any other building like it in San Antonio. Plus you will be able to see it good anywhere on 281 and 1604..it stands out along with the new hospital. The S.O. (Stone Oak) is really filling out and looking nice. A lot has happened in the past 5 years. They just need to start on the 281 toll project....at least they started on blanco rd past the super target. The are working really fast there.

^^^How will it be hidden driving up 281 (I'm assuming by "up" you mean driving North) when you can clearly see the ATT building on the southwest corner of Broadway and Hildebrand from northbound 281?

As for the southbound view, that's already one of my favorite in the city with UIW in the foreground and the Park Lane towers in the background, and now with the Broadway and added density at Ft Sam it'll look that much better

Comming down or up 281...you will not be able to see the broadway...but maybe the very top since it will be hidden behind the ATT building and that other highrise next to the broadway. Even as the broadway is over 6th floors right now, you can not see if from 281. Now from IH35 around BAMC you will be able to see it. It will poke above the ridge.

But I agree with you somewhat...it will poke above the ATT building when it is done...so maybe it will look cool from 281...mostly driving southbound.

That would a really awesome shot density wise if the parking lots on the left weren't there and there was a midrise between the Weston and the stubby black glass building to the right of it

That 17 story marriot is nice. I like it.

We just got a new crane put up in the SO. It is another hotel. I will get some pictures. Its between Sonterra and 1604...but right up on 1604...past the macaronio grill.

Hey Kevin...can you add this Hotel to the list...its gonna be 12 stories...the crane is already up. That is only 2 stores less than the Tesoro Building...so there is now some height in the Stone Oak Area!

And thanks for that update. I've added it.
