Good for Regina, looks like a decent tower, though it's hard to get an idea of materials and colours from the render. The sloping wall that matches the 2 80's towers could look bad though.

Just to let everyone know, its being built on the NW corner of Hamilton St and 12th Ave. I will post regular construction updates from this location.

Good to see a new tallest going in Regina. Regina's got a good looking skyline for a city of its size, and it's going to get better.

Well this tower will be the new tallest by only .5 m... the delta is 84m...

And if Capital Pointe goes through (which due to high demand for the units, seems like it's going to be a go), then the title of tallest will then pass onto that building.

Would be nice to have a 100+m though...

Looks like demolition of the existing buildings on the site hasn't happened yet.

Yeah copying the slope of argueably Regina's marquee towers is dangerous. I also agree it's far too early to declare this one under construction. (and I'm not one to wait for holes to be dug and concrete to be poured at the bottom of them)

Prep for demolition has begun - barricades are now in place on the streets surrounding the tower site. Last night they were removing large pieces of signage off the existing bldgs.

With its larger population, why is the city of Saskatoon's skyline so much smaller than Regina's??

Saskatoon isn't ahead by that much. And Regina's skyline hasn't changed since the early 90s... and around that time Saskatoon was just finally passing Regina in population. Before that Regina was always ahead.

Was this company taken over or in the process of being taken over ...and will that effect this building from being completed?
Would love to see this built, great for the Queen City.

The Potash Company you are thinking of is Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan.

Mosaic is another fairly large company (sort of under Cargill I think). Mosaic is also currently the holder of the naming rights to the stadium in Regina.

Good to know, Thanks Nathan. Thought all potash in Sask. was mined through the crown corp.
