God, it looks amazingly pleasant! I'd love to go there, and I will the next time I'm in Guangdong.

Please post these photos in the international photo forums as well, cnmark!

Cheers!

Modern buildings, neon and beautiful architectural gardens. A few of my favorite things. And every city in China seems to have a wealth of them all.

So nice, I just hope many skyscrapers don't start raping the city's natural beauty, it would be a travesty!

Looks exactly like the Bank of China Tower in neighbouring HK.

Check out a map of southern China - find Macau . Exactly where your map states Macau, there is actually Zhuhai . Though Zhuhai is by orders of magnitude larger than Macau, nearly no international map depicts Zhuhai. Zhuhai surrounds Macau completely. You might also want to check out the "See where this picture was taken." - links on the flickr photo pages.

Same as Shenzhen was founded as a City and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) because it borders Hong Kong, Zhuhai was founded as a City and SEZ because it borders Macau. Both Zhuhai and Shenzhen have been mere fishing and agricultural settlements before this development. Zhuhai and Shenzhen have been the first two SEZ when China started to open to the West under Deng Xiaoping in the early 1980s, with Shenzhen being the most successful of all SEZ.
