Always wondered that one myself too. Maybe there was a bridge there previously (between the current NB and SB bridges), and instead of making an at grade temporary detour, they built on either side?

I haven't been to Kildonan Park in ages.Rainbow stage, Witches hut, Skating in the Winter..

Enjoyed this photo. Spent much time in many of these former garment factory buildings looking south. Hard to believe that I even stored stuff in that storage facility many moons ago.

Keep the pics a comin..

^ Great photo, but unfortunately all of the vacant/parking lots off Notre Dame give a bit of a Houston circa 1978 vibe to what is otherwise a delightful view.

We're finally starting to see some of the longstanding downtown lots get filled in, but Notre Dame is still a disaster on that front, as that photo shows.

Man, something in the McDermot/Bannatyne parking lots would be great.

Agreed. That's in a tie for number one on my list of places to fix in the Exchange next to the entire area near the burt with the surface lots around Princess/Notre Dame/Albert/Ellice intersections. It's the gateway to the Exchange from several streets and it's empty and ugly. Just SOMETHING.... ANYTHING.
