Can you tell the difference between a critique/mockery/lampooning of a viewpoint, and a personal attack against the individual? Obviously I'm very much a fan of the former, but very much against the latter.
Recently some have proven to be unable to tell the difference, and this of course diminishes any potential for intelligent debate.
