Haha, well put!

Great to see this project moving forward. It has been quite a battle.

Hopefully Whole Foods is interested in this neighborhood; the Park Royal store cannot grow, therefore losing some of the North Van clients will probably not be too bad.

Who was complaining about too much density? Check this out...make sure to scroll down to the colored images...

Some people feared Lonsdale will look like Georgia St, but that's not possible due to the location of the current towers - not that close to the street.

Somehow, there's a new good feeling about this neighborhood...

Joining Clark and Bookham in opposition to Onni was Coun. Guy Heywood, who lamented asking city taxpayers to spend money on things like social housing and daycare, which he said should be the responsibility of the province to provide.

“At the end of the day, we are spending money that is the city’s on things that are not the city’s responsibility,” he said. “And I think we’ve made a mistake.”

But the taxpayers aren't paying for these amenities. Home buyers and commercial tenants are. That's the whole point!

It's not even big by Lonsdale standards. The huge one planned for the foot of Lonsdale, ok, it was a lot bigger, but this is just two more condos like all the others.

If anything I'm a bit disappointed in the density.
I bet if they had proposed it as two separate projects there wouldn't have been a single bit of drama.

Project 1: Office tower and small condo tower
Project 2: Taller office tower.

No photo but this is now above ground in one spot, where the office is I guess. Will take lots of photos when there's something to see.

Went to the presentation center last week.
Sales staff were knowledgeable and sincere.
Quality and finishing looks decent. Left with a good impression.

The low density and community vibe of North Shore was definitely refreshing.
If only the suites with views were still available...
