The speed at which this climbed is amazing. It shows once the foundation and tougher elements are in, the tower portion can climb quick. I found one of my pictures from a run at Liberty St last year around this time and it was half the size.

So, can the steel beat the snow? I think it might, considering how fast they're going.

As for the value engineering, it's not as bad as on 1WTC. I personally didn't care for the spires (adding 'fake height') and the busy cross-bracing, but the otherwise loathed height reduction has the bright side of eliminating several ugly mechanical floors near the base, which I welcome. My biggest problem with the value engineering is the reduction of top-tier office floors from 6 to 5.

The steel will be topped out within the month.

The last floor will be done next week, then the 4 fins will have steel that holds them up, they will be done in 3 weeks fromantic now, maybe less
