My friend and I walked my there last night after getting some AMAZING gelato at Luckie (just down Ivan Allen). The courtyard between the two buildings is less offensive than it looked in plan. I like the fact that they've put a wall at the back of the sidewalk to preserve the street edge and screen the pedestrian from the car zone. I also love how the Ernst and Young building touches the ground on Ivan Allen with 100% fenestration and how it drops with the sidewalk.

A rendering? Some stats? Not all of us are familiar with this project...

Cool photos though...

Yeah, that would be nice for the people not familiar with Atlanta (this is SkyscraperPage you know). Great photos.

Basically, all of that is getting built except for the one with the hole in the middle. No major tenant has been found for it yet (though rumors have it doubling in size).

This photo is from Sunday. When I drove by today it looked like they were preparing to build the middle section. Looking good!

I like the W's design. this new allen plaza, is it right in downtown where there's stuff to do or is it cut off? it looks like its surrounded by freeways? i'm from philly, so that's why i ask. the building looks slender as well. o, and the green strip down the front: any idea what material that is gonna manifest into? (i'm full of questions)

The photos are misleading, there's plenty nearby within a short walk. Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia Aquarium, CNN, CocaCola, etc.

Hard to believe the transformation that has happened on these blocks in the past 2 years.

Joe, I am going to ask Councilman C.T. Martin to propose another restrictive ordinance. From now on, it should be a crime for you to appear in the City of Atlanta without a digital camera. Zero tolerance!

Your first shot of Allen Plaza from the southwest angle (from Museum Tower?) is incredible. If by chance you are the forumer who posted before and after panoramas of Downtown and Midtown from Georgia Tech (sometime last year), please let me know where I can find those shots again. I'd like to send them to my GT'71 brother-in-law. And many thanks for sharing your excellent shots with the rest of us...

That was supposed to be my best viewing angle for a monthly construction series until this month when all the cars appeared. I guess i will go back to shooting weekends or early evenings and maybe they will disappear. I would move farther back but there is a power cable directly overhead and would cut thru the view otherwise.

That's funny, you know i really do try to have my camera with me whenever i'm out. You never know when a great shot might present itself.
