Underwhelmed for Prime Re-estate

I don't know what to think about this idea... ugly or not ?
but i think they are able to build something better than that

Thoughts ?!
Hopefully it turns out better than the renderings.
It looks really cheap and generic to me.
Even more so than the Outdoor Premium Outlet Mall.

Compared to the the other malls, and the LINQ project, this looks down right disappointing.
I suspect it will do alright, due to it's location. Of course there's no guarantee, look at Hawaiian Village.
(Great Location, Looks Kinda Cool, Half Empty)
I hope this isn't a new direction for Vegas.

Admittedly, I don't know how the light show will look.
Maybe it will sell the project for me.

Until then,
More LINQ, less Bizarre!

It is great to see your site getting updated again! It was my favorite site for catching up on all the projects around town for a long time. Your maps are still unbeatable. I'm looking forward to all the new features. Hope the updates keep coming.

All the Best!

Awesome. I love this website. I really dig the dream/cancelled projects section as well as the maps.

Interesting video with interior shots of Harmon corner. Also talks about urbanism.

Couple of new updates on 2 projects from the LV Sun:

A possible total scrap sell-off of Fountainebleau, or is there a possible buy-out from the Caesars/Harrahs people in the works??? http://www.vegasinc.com/news/2012/oc...y-become-carl/

But even more important, an update on UNLVNow http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012...-unlv-stadium/ I still firmly belive that this project is the single most improtant thing going o in Southern Nevada, and "HAS" to be built.

SXSW rolls the dice and heads to Vegas with new component SXSW V2V
By Caitlin M. Ryan
10.23.12 | 01:06 pm

We couldn't avoid it forever. Austin's most beloved behemoth, SXSW, has finally realized its full potential and will tap into another market this summer — a dry, arid up-and-coming (more on that later) unexpected market by the name of Las Vegas, Nevada.

But before the Austin-based masses panic and sling mud accusing SXSW of selling out, this was a carefully orchestrated choice of programming and location by the heads of the organization — and they have no intention of uprooting from Austin.

I know SXSW will never leave Austin, but it's great to see SXSW expanding to other cities like Las Vegas as well.

take-two moving 150 jobs to downtown. good start to bringing some "tech" companies downtown. i also like that they have embraced choosing a leed-certified building in 302 e. carson. hopefully this leads to more sustainable redevelopment.
