For one thing, it looks like they pumped a lot of concrete down there today.

They haven't stopped pouring concrete for 3 days now. It looks like they are filling in the center hole now that they have redone the caissons. That's an incredible amount of concrete, simply amazing!

They are down to one pumper today so maybe they will be done soon. The tower crane seems to have been in motion a lot more today. Has anyone noticed what it has been lifting?

^I can only guess. If all that concrete pumping was them pouring the cap, I would think we'll start to see more visible construction very soon. I certainly hope so anyway.

So hard to see in the hole. Anyone see anything noteworthy here?:

Transbay Tower was a so much more fitting name for this supertall. Salesforce Tower sounds tacky and looks like it cursed it.

I agree that transbay tower sounds way better...but cursed?

It seems like it's coming along pretty well, aside from the delay due to rebuilding a couple caissons, which I'm guessing they're almost done with. Everything's funded, much of the tower is leased, the foundation is nearly done, and they just installed a tower crane. None of that says "cursed", if you ask me.

^Exactly. Plus Salesforce is the leader in its market, a good corporate citizen and run by a guy pouring money into important local institutions. None of that seems unlucky either.

Actually, the pic shows that a lot has changed. The round hole that was mostly filled with concrete is now been made square (except for lower left hand corner which they are still digging), and you can now make out all of the caisson tops (all the rectangles in the bottom). Once they finish digging out the square we should see rebar go in for the caisson cap... and then finally we should be going up! or I could be wrong and we have more digging to go!

It's not for lack of effort. Watching the Terminal's webcam, you can see that they are starting at 5am every day, working on the weekends, etc. They have three cranes in almost constant motion and I see cement trucks onsite again today. Hopefully, they're getting close to the point we'll start seeing visible progress on the garage levels.

Edit: rocketman got in there while I was typing. Good observations. I'm just a layman, but I think you're right about the next steps.

I think we are done digging... The big crawler crane has been disassembled and taken away.

There are delivering numerous bundles of rebar today - each one about as long as the truck they transported on
