On the web cam west view, you can see that they're putting on the facade of the lower level of the garage.

Also, what are all the boxes (or whatever) lined up inside the building at regular intervals on the lower floors? You can see them on the web cam at night when the lights in the building illuminate them. Is that flooring or something similar waiting to be installed?

Can somebody in SA please take a photo of Frost from about a mile away? I want to see it in its surroundings.

I'll try to some time. It looks very nice from the i10/i35 interchange. I live like 10 minutes from downtown. Didn't realize so many in this form don't live here.

I grew up in San Antonio, but I haven't lived there in years. But I'm still interested (obviously) in watching its buildings get built.

I look forward to your photo(s). Thanks!

So I'm guessing I got the location wrong in this mockup. The view from Willowbrook Drive (according to Google Maps) would put Frost Tower in front of the old Frost building and to the left. So it will look close to the Tower of the Americas from this angle.

On the web cam you can see what looks like a fully constructed frame of a crown segment sitting next to the garage.

A bit of old news, but the image used is pretty cool and reminds me of how local news station's stage sets are going to have to change and what they might look like - pictures of our downtown on news networks. I can't wait to see that, especially the night time images with the Frost Tower lighting.

Image sponsored by Marriott. MARRIOTT. Ridiculously out of proportion MARRIOTT! (both Marriotts)

This is from May 24, but if somebody feels like going to the Rosenberg Skyroom at Incarnate Word with a camera other than a cell phone, it looks like a nice view of the skyline.

This photo also shows how San Antonio's skyline is growing in the opposite direction of the Tower of the Americas... much like Seattle.

Great shot. Is it mainly because of the Alamo that it is growing in that direction you think?

Alamo, Rivercenter Mall, convention center, Riverwalk, old buildings in tourist area, financial district of sorts toward the other end of downtown. Here's the satellite view:
