I see what you did there.

Anyway, I started marking a map with projects that are going on (or should be soon) around the city:

http://quikmaps.com/full/206987

Nothing crazy, just an outline of where the project will take place and a label noting what it is. I really enjoy maps for some reason and I like the visual representation of where everything is located.

So far I've added:
The Gardens
The Tower at PNC Plaza
350 Fifth (Oxford 2 or whatever)
Energy Innovation Center
Monongahela Tower (Burns & Scalo)
Riverhounds Stadium
The Riverfront Landing
Lot 24
Almono
The River's Edge of Oakmont

What else should be added?

I would add the following:

EastSide Phase 3/4
The Highland Building
Bakery Square v2
The Odeon (or whatever its called)
The Portal Project
South Side Works

Anybody know whats going on with the Riverhounds Stadium. They originally had a very aggressive time table, but I haven't seen anything happening.

I guess we could add One Grandview. Groundbreaking didn't start officially, altho they did finally remove the eyesore that was the closed-down Edge Restaurant. So far, securing funding for that beauty has been less than successful...

So sorry that I have offended everyone. Here, I'll change the joke topic: Vagina's aren't funny. PERIOD.

Is the Falk addition anything interesting? How big? Does it front on 5th Ave?

I walked to Edgewood Town Center tonight and saw a sign advertising for 'Parcel D.' I know it's not in downtown, but it's still a Pittsburgh zip code. I really couldn't find much on it except their website. They are taking bids for the property, about seven and a three quarters acres. Right beside the parkway east.

http://www.edgewoodparceld.com/

Their luck they'll attract someone to put in another restaurant like the fabulous Applebee's.

It's near the southeast corner of Ellsworth & Summerlea just east of the intersection. The lot is adjacent to the Uni-Mart ( which is another project waiting to happen). Looks like they are pouring the foundation currently. Doesn't seem to be much info on this project but great infill location replacing an awful warehouse/commercial bldg that appeared to be vacant in the recent past. Close to some of the other relatively recent office/retail Ellsworth projects.

$32MM extension of Parran Hall touching Fifth Ave and extending up the side street (DeSoto?). 58,000 Sq. ft of mostly lab space. Completion Summer 2013. See the link for a rendering. Looks fairly contemporary and sleek but tough to tell exactly from the one rendering on this site.

Bishoff's complaining is music to my ears. He is darn right it looks crammed into that space--that is how downtown/CBDs are supposed to look.

Did a little bit of digging... the addition is actually on the other side of the building, so it goes up N. Bouquet St. Adding now.

I may need some help figuring out where some of these places are that people have mentioned. I'm researching what I can but if I can't find any semi-official plans/renderings and haven't actually been by the project in question then I may need some guidance. I'll post a list in the next few days. TIA.

When you point your jokes at people on a message board that you don't really know, it becomes a lot less funny.
