So what's the next phase of this project? Is there another ground up building expected?

There's also the renovation of the Girard Estate building into a hotel as part of the plan. I'm not sure which will happen first.

Incidentally, thisisforreal, your photo really shows how much taller this tower is than the other East Market tower.

^I was surprised by the substantial height differential as well, from ThisIsForReal's perspective.

Man, the whole neighborhood around Market East is so ripe for skyscraper development. Thisisforreal's picture really shows it. Hopefully this here development and 1300 Market will light the spark that will get things going in this area.

^ I'm hoping the "Gallery" overbuild opportunities are realized sooner rather than later. I'm guessing/hoping that the existing foundation/infrastructure (i.e., pads) in place would require less of a "spark" than ground up development (even on a vacant lot).

I'm certainly happy the second high rise has topped off , but this particular shot does it
no justice . Obviously it is a great improvement over what was there but , from this angle
squeezed in between Loews/PSFS and Aramark it looks like some poor little " pre mature building " .

cladding is going up on second tower, doesn't look like what I anticipated from the renderings. Perhaps the bricks start at a higher level but what is going up now is just metal paneling.

Hope this wasn't value engineered. I like the renderings of this one...

Well more cladding and windows are in place. Others can judge for themselves but I most certainly am not seeing any brick- faux or otherwise- just gray metal panels.
