And that’s the starting price. So a low floor with zero view. And no parking included. No thanks!

These buildings look bland af.

Wow. That means these small units will probably rent for around $2200 or so.

I’m having a really hard time imagining a 615sqft 2 bedroom apartment… for $739k… in fuckin’ Surrey.

Hmm yea honestly it's pretty depressing. I can't be the only one who notices every time a presale goes up it's like they're trying to set a new price record.

And it's not just $739k for 615 sq ft in Surrey, it's by Thind who literally just fail on every development they do. I always wonder who is so incapable of researching that they actually buy from developers like Thind/Onni.

I think there is a massive demand of families purchasing homes for their kids in Surrey combined with real estate being the preferred form of investment for a lot of cultures.

If anyone was at Skyliving by Allure (same ones behind The Grand on KG) I'd be super interested to see what $/sqft they got, their phase 1 was sold out in 2 days.

That size should be a studio not 2 bedrooms. At these prices it would be great if this project stalls (it probably won’t). People need to say enough. Seriously.

Agreed - city hall approves these things so if they don't get the message that people have had enough of these outrageous unit configurations, then they'll just keep rubber-stamping it all. I would suggest that anyone upset with this contact city hall or better yet, show up when a development hearing takes place to voice this concern. It's not against development, but more so to ensure that what gets built actually provides something livable.

I’m ok with the size and layouts, but at these prices it’s ridiculous

615sqft is cramped for a one bedroom. At this rate, if developers keep getting away with it, in ten years, 2 bedrooms will be 500sqft. Just two tiny rooms with Murphy beds separated by a frosted moving wall. No living room, just a kitchen.

You shouldn’t be “ok” with it. But I guess our opinions on this forum don’t really matter, at the end of the day.

So has Thind just given up on this site? They've been selling for what, over 2 years now?

Do you live near? I think this one sold well. The centre closed on Feb 11 so they should be moving forward. I think this project set new records for the area, with some 1 beds selling at around $1310 a sq ft. Concord piano to the east is going to be moving forward very soon as well.

Interesting - I didn't hear that. Good to know it's not dead in the water.

It just struck me as unusual to have been selling for so long with no movement.

I think it was intentional, they always had a 2027 completion. It was marketed as "These homes feature one of the longest completion dates currently on the market, with homes slated to complete in 2027 - an investor's dream."

The fencing with the District Northwest signage had come down for a week or so, but has recently been reinstalled.

I was wondering too, it used to have fencing with signage and banners and in recent years they either fell off or got pulled off and it seemed dead, but glad to see it is not.
