Let's not forget the special, rare fact that this tower is being built with NO parking facility whatsoever. Hopefully it'll start a trend

I won't even be looking in to see if anybody has anything to say to all this.
I'm sorry to hear this. None of us knew beforehand that this was the case. I enjoy your photos but I don't spend too much time in this section of the forums to comment about them. I hope you well in your battle with cancer.

I absolutely love this project for downtown Miami. This is the type of infill that comes from years of core development and planning. The big winner here will be the pedestrian activity as the street level.

Currently I count 18 towers under construction between downtown & Brickell with the majority being in Brickell now :

Brickell Citi Centre is the largest project U/C in the city with 7 towers at a cost of $1.2 Billion dollars and spanning 3 full city blocks. Developer is Swire Properties of Hong Kong:
1:Office tower #1: 262 feet
2:Office tower #2: 262 feet
3:Office tower #3: 634 feet
4:Condo tower #1: 503 feet
5:Condo tower #2: 520 feet
6:Condo tower #3: 528 feet | 46 stories
7:Hotel tower #1: 516 feet

8:Brickell House: 524 feet | 46 stories
9:Centro condo: 428 feet | 36 stories
10:Nine @ Mary Brickell Village: 379 feet | 35 stories
11:Flagler on the River: 321 feet | 32 stories
12:MET 3: 439 feet | 41 stories
13:1100 Millicento: 491 feet | 42 stories
14:My Brickell: 283 feet | 28 stories
15:Children's CourtHouse: 224 feet | 14 stories
16:Brickell View Terrace: 254 feet | 24 stories
17:Brickell City Heights: 250 feet | 24 stories
18:26 Plaza Residences: 12 stories

Half of the 18 that are U/C are taller than 400 feet. There are a slew of projects slated to break ground next year. Check out the link below and scroll down to the "On the Boards / Not yet Under Construction for the list :

In the Herald today.

Tall, narrow and full of art, new Sunny Isles Beach condo tower unveiled

BY MARTHA BRANNIGAN
MBRANNIGAN@MIAMIHERALD.COM

Muse, a tall, narrow condominium unveiled for Sunny Isles Beach, will tout something different: a sculpture by artist Helidon Xhixha for each unit.

Xhixha, an Albanian-born artist whose light-reflecting steel sculpture have been offered at Art Miami and Art Basel’s Swiss fair, will consult with unit buyers and design a piece for each, the developer said.

“He is going to do art in every apartment and around the grounds and lobby,’’ said Kevin Maloney, founder and CEO of New York-based Property Markets Group, which is launching the project with co-developer S2 Development of Aventura.

The 649-foot-high building — which will match the height of the Porsche Design Tower and Mansions at Acqualina, two other luxury projects in Sunny Isles Beach — will stretch to the maximum permitted in the area by the Federal Aviation Administration.

With oceanfront parcels all but gone, the ultra-sleek 47-story, 68-unit tower will be shoehorned into a less than one-acre site with 100 feet of oceanfront at 17141 Collins Ave. With setbacks, the building will be just 60 feet wide facing the ocean.

Key Biscyane is pretty much built out, but none of the buildings top 20 floors.

Does the village have a height limit?

don't know for certain, but i wouldn't be surprised if it's self imposed. Nimby's and traffic problems on the causeway.

Where is at? What happened on the Causeway? Is that traffic problem? Too much rush hours traffic. You have avoid the traffic. Don't go there. Use Metrobus S & E or BCT route 1 & 28.

dave8721 cool graphic on the upcoming towers however it's so small you can barely read it. That MUSE tower on Sunny Isles looks very nice. Thanks for the info.

Brickell Magazine's vision of Miami by 2020

These are some of the 20 + towers planned or under construction in the Brickell Financial district / downtown Miami.
The buildings with the white frosty tops are the ones that are proposed / approved / or already under construction.

quote from the magazine :
A graphic artist at Brickell Magazine imagined the cityscape six years down the road. The depiction includes 17 of the more than 20 condo towers planned for Miami's financial district as well as the gargantuan Brickell City Centre and Miami Worldcenter.

To see all of the named projects click the link below then scroll down to the 3rd. pic and hit the "+" sign on the lower left hand side to enlarge:
