They denied to the media, yes. However, it's not just a rumor. There will be a larger development on the 1900 block of Arch at some point. There may also be another ~300-500 footer at the corner of 18th and JFK on the grass plot. When and what will happen exactly no one is sure.

I know this is off-topic, but congrats on electing Jim Kenney as your next mayor!

I hope he actively gets involved with the city planning to rezone areas of growth opportunities.

I still can't get over the fact that Comcast is growing so fast, that they needed another tower.
This is crazy (and a good thing for skyscraper fans)!

I said "one of the worst". Don't quote me incorrectly.

Seems like they are assembling scaffolding along the whole entire north side of Arch Street between 18th and 19th. I assume that is to protect pedestrians as they walk by the site ,similar to what they did on the South end over the small street? Also, does anyone know what they are building at the West end of the CITC? it looks like a large platform ,maybe an elevator?

The hotel express elevators are going to be on the west end.

Besides the glass express lifts to the main part of the hotel, the west side will include the Four Seasons ground-level lobby (and canopy over the driveway - which may be part of what you're seeing).

No, I have not. It is going to be an amazing public space 900 feet up. I can't wait to hang out there. Plus you get there with glass elevators on the external part of the building. Cool.

^ Some of them are the same. Love the night rendering! Also is it me, or does the spire seem taller in the night pic? I counted the sections, and it seems like there is an added one. EDIT: A few facade detail changes. The east side columns don't go all the way to the top of the restaurant roof, they now stop before it. ALSO, the core box piece is wider as the glass elevator portions now go up to form a little bit of articulation of the shape of Comcast 1's crown shape. Also lights will appear on both sides of the core piece.

Here's hoping this is the rumored slightly taller 60 story 1141' tower.

Am I wrong in counting that the newer rendering actually has one less section? In the main body of the tower, before it set backs and above the base, the original render shows twelve sections of three floors, as you can see when you count the the number of "diagonals" along the side of the tower. The newer rendering shows only eleven diagonals - one fewer.

These are not new renderings (the newer ones posted above) - but nice to get the conversation going. Anyways..

As far as the west end and sky lobby- visuals (and these are not new! either):
