Could not be at a better location.

In terms of beach quality, nice firm surface, great for wading, great for splashing around, great for playing in, great for sunbathing, great for sandcastle building. It's the whole deal.

Not to offend but the sand looks awful. Beaches are not supposed to be "firm".

The Tofino Inlet beach looks to have good quality sand but the picture looks a little over-saturated so who knows.

I agree the sand looks bad, but in this case we are talking about a riverbed so I would not expect anything better.

I need to get to Tofino this Christmas. I'm out there twice a year and never seem to get the chance.

Tobermory doesn't really have beaches but still some amazing shoreline to exploe and great water for swimming.

As a new city beach developed by a berm from a new LRT bridge. I will take it.

The City Of Edmonton is not sure what the future of this will be. But im confident if the beach is here to stay, some kind of sand raking and general maintenance will be on going.

This beach is just 15 mins from my house. We go here regularly during the spring and summer. Apr-July is best as it can get a bit seaweedy by august.

Fine, soft white sand. Awesome place to park yourself & the family (with some cold ones) on a warm sunny summer day - throw the football around. The water is often a bit chilly (people do swim), but similar to Parksville it is a shallow bay so when the tide comes back in, the water can be quite warm. Great place to soak a crab trap, spend the day at the beach, then head home and boil the fresh crab

This is with the tide halfway out in spring:

This beach is nearby as well (15 mins away from the first)- in East Sooke park by the Aylard Farm parking lot. Same soft white sand - you can see it on the left. The beach was really busy that day so I only took photos from distance, while hiking the park's coast trail.

Nice pics!

A couple beaches that I went to in late July:

A surprisingly nice and sandy beach along the Similkameen River at Bromley Rock Provincial Park (near Princeton).

And then my favorite public beach in Osoyoos. The sand was scorching hot on this day.

There are a couple of nice sand beaches nearby, that are publicly accessible.

Dunks Bay is a couple of km southeast of town on the Georgian Bay side of the peninsula:

It used to be privately owned, now is open to the public. The Nova Scotia Nature Trust bought it for $1.1 million.

Beautiful!

But for $1.1 million wouldn't they rather have a one bed plus den in Vancouver?
