Kind of how he created a new account, quoted and singled me out in the first place? Agree we need to move on, but leave it at that instead of trying to reprimand people for the exact thing that Vansadidas did in the first place.

FYI, Vansadidas joined back in June so this account was not created to single you out.

Amazing shot Sawtooth of the orange skyline and the last few floaters going down all in one shot. >save >add as desktop background.

This mural is shaping up to be really beautiful. The first day or so it looked like some of the facade had somehow been torn off. But when you looked closer it became apparent that a mural was forthcoming. It's impressive.

Thanks Visualize. I really like that photograph too.
OhGoodGlavin, I also think the mural is going to be beautiful. Until this began I was wondering if that blank white wall was the finished product.

When I was downtown this hazy wildfire of a morning, I found a great vantage of city hall plaza and shot a few photos of this new beautiful art.

Humpin Hannah's has a new "forest" across Main Street.

CTY Studio is also involved with Whitewater Station on 27th.

This links to renderings of the new plaza with new trees and some grass. I am interested in what the "interactive water feature" will look like.

Boise Public Market

The spectrum is trying a new idea of a public market to keep business going.

New public market coming to Boise with local restaurants, vendors, central bar

Imagine walking into Boise’s new public marketplace, ordering a glass of wine, grabbing a bite from a local restaurant, then browsing Idaho vendors for cheeses or sweets.
It’s coming at a new dining and beverage-sipping destination at the Boise Spectrum in West Boise.

If you have the money, there may be a new home for you in Downtown Boise
Thanks for the post Cottonwood, this piece underscores the new reality of our fair town. The median home income now lags well behind all the new downtown "luxury" housing.

Not sure if this posted already but they're taking comments on Quinn's park. I vote big beach... pity for the future CWI students!

Pre-Yardarm Garden City

Boisecynic's Chinden connector thread reminded me of these old pics of Garden "City" I'd been meaning to share. From between Orchard and Curtis area looking NE, the old streetcar line out to Ustick is visible on the right.

we used to have a "Historic Boise Photos" thread awhile back. those would've been good additions.

I don't know if you all are Facebook kind of people, but, if you are, you guys should join the Boise & The Treasure Valley History group. There are some great historical pictures shared there. Some of them can be a little redundant but overall it's very interesting.

If you are a part of this group, then disregard.

Thanks Sawtooth. I've been living in Georgia for the last few, but I'm coming back to Idaho. I missed it.

I read on boisedev.com today that we are getting a Maserati dealership! Kind of cool, Boise is getting pretty high-falutin'. Hopefully a 400 foot condo tower or two will follow

We are fortunate that a lot of amazing shots are posted in this thread and other local threads. I've wondered if the BCVB (Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau) browses this forum.

Streetcar plan

The City & CCDC are planning to spend about $5 million to push the railcar idea forward. Interesting - they are also looking at "emerging technologies" which I took to mean autonomous options...
