the colourful building is a retailshopping centre built above and around the skytrain station, there is also a nice multiscreen movie theatre

salvation army is housed in an old train building from 1910. It was restored in the last decade, previously it looked pretty non-descript.

a fire destroyed an old building a few years ago, currently houses the presentation centre for the condo development and a small community park. The street area was covered by a multi storey parkade which was made smaller a few years back.

Love New West, definitely not the typical North American suburb.

FYI, there are two major towers soon to start construction on the waterfront, one 149 meters the other 180 meters.

yea, that will really be a big impact. It was my first time seeing the park in person and the changes to front street, they did a nice job. Front street is nice and bright now with the parkade gone, but not as much retail along it as there used to be.
