I believe it is very nice, probably one of the best in Dubai.
I will agree that it is not one of Foster's best designs, but it is not terrible.

I'm not saying it's terrible.
I just think that it's not a contemporary design. Otherwise, it's very interesting, if only by its sheer size and its raugh beauty.

According to Emporis, completion is in 2008. But, that might have changed. A few months ago, construction slowed down a lot. Just recently it has begun to pick up. If the slowdown was not intended, then it might be delayed. This will then effect the projected 2008 completion.

Wow, just look at that. Dubai is really starting to look like one crazy, Las-Vegas-in-the-MidEast mother-fuckin' city.

In another year......I can't even imagine.

In another 10 years......I don't think anyone can imagine.

Only John Hancock seems to rival this skyscraper in terms of strength. I'm very impressed.

for me that building is one of the best buildings i've ever seen
five floors in two weeks , means 1 floor per 3 days ,the construction might finish within 3 to 4 months i think

I've read that this is the first of four towers.

Index, Glossary, Appendix and the Table of Contents

This building has a powerful, brutalist feel to it, but it does it much more elegantly than the buildings from that era.

I like it, but it doesnt compare to the Chase Bank tower in Chicago.
Is it OK for me to compare these two, at least on some level?
