That's correct, the site incorporates both the Odyssey lot and a smaller adjacent lot to the NE. The tower shown in the rendering to the SW is a proposed market development that is still in the early rezoning phase.

The Abbott and Pender building is coming along nicely.

Taken by SFUVancouver, November 22nd, 2010.

While not technically one of the fourteen sites, this is a new supportive housing project by the Salvation Army at Hastings and Princess.

Taken by SFUVancouver, November 22nd, 2010.

That one at Pender and Abbott is one hell of a dog, the Salvation Army one though is a very nice looking building. I can't wait until we see more 6 storey buildings like that built around the city, though with market housing having a bit of a setback on the top floor for the penthouses.

Im wondering, what type of social housing are these buildings? Are they subsidized rentals, homes for homeless or addicts, seniors housing?

I'd be more inclined to say the opposite, though to be fair I do like the Salvation Army one just fine. I just think it's quite a safe design whereas the Pender one looks a bit more interesting/adventurous which I like the looks of more so far - though I'll reserve final judgement for when it's a little further along in completion.

Karis Place on Seymour. Red panels have gone up on the ally side and it looks great. The level of finishes are impressive and it looks more like a hotel.
Pic by me.

Anyone else notice the sundial on the roof of International Village? Has that always been there? What about the star shaped structures above the air conditioning units?
