Every place deserves the best and a case could even be made that the shit holes are in need of the best more than any other community. However, this is far from my world and it still could be much improved during the process.

Damn... and I was recently thinking that there haven't been many tall proposals in the last while. The list needs a proper update too...

Etobicoke is rich. They don't need any city or master designer handouts.

Maybe if your idea of Etobicoke is a soccer mom living at Bloor and Royal York who spends her days at Sherway. Only a small pocket of Etobicoke is "rich". The Lake shore villages (Mimico, Long Branch, New Toronto) have always been blue collar working class areas, and North Etobicoke is one of the poorest in the City of Toronto.

Oh man....what is this...

I really don't see anything great...with this proposal, especially if Pinnacle is driving it ahead. If this is built on the waterfront...or near the actual "city centre" of Etobicoke, I guess it would look a bit less out of place than anywhere else in Etobicoke, save for Kipling station or Islington.

Etobicoke City Centre. It's on Dundas, just West of the Kipling GO Station.

Oh. Hm...this'll be interesting then. The first tower, 25 floors, is already in marketing btw. On the east end of the site I'm pretty sure.

The List on Page 1 has been updated. Thanks to everyone who provided information!

This month there are 248 towers, many of the additions because of the Pinnacle Etobicoke proposal. Also, a bunch of towers finished up and are now Built and a bunch more began Construction or moved from Site Prep to Construction. Still plenty of action around Canada's skyscrapers...

The List on Page 1 has been updated.

There are 244 towers this time, a loss of 4 from last month. Those would be the M & G twins, Artists Alley (still not yet removed from the top 50) and the middle Edge tower in Mississauga.
Action at Yonge & Bloor started this week on The One. Should be Canada's first supertall!
The GEC Mega Education tower in Surrey had 5 floors added recently.
New towers include 120 Grangeway, which isn't yet in the database, along with several other towers:

120 Grangeway 1 - 164 m, 52 fl
120 Grangeway 2 - 158 m, 50 fl
120 Grangeway 3 - 136 m, 42 fl
120 Grangeway 4 - 130 m, 40 fl
2161 Yonge - 124 m, 36 fl
30 Merton - 117 m, 36 fl
286 Main - 110 m, 34 fl
Scrivner Court - 82 m, 25 fl

Another one for the list, this time a 159M office+condo tower in Burnaby:

It was just posted today over at Vancouvermarket.

http://www.vancouvermarket.ca/2017/1...etrotown-site/

"Thind Properties has applied to the City of Burnaby to rezone a 57,809 SF site at 6525-6585 Sussex Avenue for a new mixed use development including market residential, non-market rental and retail and office uses. The original rezoning application was made over a year ago, but the details have now been finalized and it is now ready to move forward to public hearing."

I believe it has, though I can't remember in which thread.

If I'm correct, there should also be a project proposal for the adjacent site on Telford as well, although I forget by whom.

Which would of course leave the rather large lot to the East, between this one and where Moda sits, as the only undeveloped (or planned for re-development) lot along Beresford in that mall neighborhood.

I also noticed that Concord Pacific already have the board up for the notice for the public hearing (November 28th) for rezoning for their Sears project to the north of the mall as well, so I guess that's also moving along rather briskly.
I take it this means that the court case (or cases) between them and Ivanhoe Cambridge and the mall was settled, or came to some sort of resolution? Or is that reading too much into it?
Vancouvermarket has a few more details now it seems.

Project will be 8.0 FAR comprised of 10 floors of office, 38 floors of residential for a total height of 158.5M.

Fantastic sounding project, good height and lots of office right next to the station.
