Amsterdam. I was there twice last year, once for work in January, once for a friend's wedding in July. (These photos are from the winter.) I was surprised by how much it felt like a North American city, in terms of the scale and the informal culture. Like Brooklyn but with narrower streets, or Montreal with an extra two storeys on all the buildings.
At first I thought, "There's no way Amsterdam, with its canals and bikes, could look like a North American city", but a dozen pics in and I started to see it too. Some of the side street pics look like they could be from Brooklyn, Boston, Philly, or Montreal. It's the way the red brick is used in the vernacular.

For Am? I uh... hardly agree.
Only one photo of night waterfront scene looks a little bit of like Victoria, BC though.
