It's got about 10 floors to go. The pace of construction on this thing has been incredibly slow. I would say the top out should be around August 1st.

^^^ Depending on when these photos where taken there are still 16-17 floors to go. It will be considerably more tall than the adjacent building.

It is taking longer than a week per floor [maybe bacause it is such a wide building??].

We could be waiting another 4-6 months before it tops out. [September - November].

I gotta say, it's looking a lot better than I thought it would!!! Compared to all the shiny, brilliant projects going on around town, I was concerned (looking at the drawings/renderings) that it would be....."ok". But the new renderings you posted, and the exterior walls going up...........I've got to say, I am actually very impressed.

Now the Legacy at Town Lake......someone tell me it will be great (kinda looks like a Howard Johnson on steroids)

Here's a few shots I took yesterday evening. I really like this building. The impact is quite significant on the central core skyline.

additional photos on the way....

Really nice set of photos, Mopacs. The last shot is excellent. For so long Altavida was overshadowed by 100 Congress that it wasn't making much of an impact on the skyline. But now the tables have turned. From some angles 100 Congress is hardly visible at all.

Thanks priller. One of the biggest impacts of the building is from the South Congress Avenue vantage point. Altavida really helps to balance out the skyline, symmetrically framing the capitol building. It always seemed a little off balance, with a larger cluster of towers on the east side of Congress. I grabbed some shots of that yesterday and will post later on in the day.

I agree and with the Austonian behind 101 it will even out the skyline looking down Congress to the capital.

this one reminds me of One Park Place in Houston....I really like how this is turning out....Any nighttime renders? I wonder if there will be some lighting scheme for the top of the building.
